Welcome to the Panhellenic Community

Virginia Tech is home to 12 Panhellenic chapters on campus. The fraternity and sorority community as a whole encompasses more than 4,000 students which makes it about 19 percent of the undergraduate population. There are currently around 1,800 women in Panhellenic sororities. With there being such a large population involved in Greek life, many members are very involved in other organizations on campus that better the Virginia Tech community as a whole.

There are three main aspects that Virginia Tech’s fraternity and sororities focus and emphasize in order to build and maintain strong relations across various councils as well as in the community: community development, leadership and learning, and strategic planning.

A Letter from Tri-Delta

We Need Your Help!

This fall, we began working towards our goal of creating an endowed scholarship in honor of a 2008 alumna, Dorothy Henggeler, who recently passed away from brain cancer. Dott was an incredible sister in our chapter, both as a collegiate and alumna member and we can think of no better way to honor her membership than to create a lasting scholarship that will help members for years to come.

If we can reach our goal of $45,000 in two years, Tri Delta’s Executive Office will endow the scholarship permanently and one will be given out annually to a deserving member of the Beta Nu chapter. If we do not reach the full amount, scholarships will be given out for as long as the funds last. Scholarships will be given out across the years to those applicants within Tri Delta at Virginia Tech who exude the confident, caring, generous, and strong spirit of Dott. This scholarship fund will help young women to study abroad, focus on school vs. having to work, and enable girls to take part in both school and Tri Delta. Our goal is that through this scholarship fund Dott’s loving spirit will be kept alive through all of the future young women to pass through Tri Delta as her sister.

Our chapter would be eternally grateful for your support in this endeavor, we think this is such a wonderful way to live out the ideals of a Panhellenic woman by continually helping sisters in need.

We will be raising funds through GoFundMe, but if you’d prefer to send a check, please make it out to Delta Delta Delta – Beta Nu with “Dott’s Scholarship” in the memo line and send to:
